No Room
Here's a 5-day Bible reading plan and devotional guide based on Pastor Jackie's Message "No Room"-
Day 1: Making Room for Jesus
Reading: Luke 2:1-7
Devotional: As we reflect on the humble birth of Jesus, consider the innkeeper who had no room. How often do we, like that innkeeper, unintentionally crowd Jesus out of our lives? Our days get filled with busyness, distractions, and worldly priorities. Today, examine your heart and schedule. Where can you make more room for Jesus? Remember, He doesn't require perfection, just a willing heart. Pray for guidance in decluttering your spiritual life, removing distractions, and creating space for deeper intimacy with Christ.
Day 2: Prioritizing God's Kingdom
Reading: Matthew 6:25-34
Devotional: Jesus teaches us not to worry about our basic needs, but to seek first God's kingdom. In a world full of anxieties and material pursuits, this can be challenging. Reflect on areas where worry or materialism may be hindering your spiritual growth. How can you practically put God's kingdom first today? Consider ways to serve others, engage in prayer, or study Scripture. Remember, as you prioritize God, He promises to take care of your needs.
Day 3: Open Hearts to God's Presence
Reading: Revelation 3:14-22
Devotional: Jesus stands at the door of our hearts, knocking. He desires intimate fellowship with us, but often we're too preoccupied to hear His voice. Today, intentionally "open the door" to Christ. Set aside quiet time to listen for His guidance. Reflect on areas of your life where you may have unconsciously shut Him out. Invite Him into every aspect - your thoughts, relationships, work, and leisure. Ask the Holy Spirit to make you more aware of God's presence throughout your day.
Day 4: Transformed by God's Power
Reading: Romans 12:1-2
Devotional: Paul urges us to offer our bodies as living sacrifices and to be transformed by the renewing of our minds. This transformation is not about perfection, but surrendering to God's work in us. Consider areas where you need God's transforming power - perhaps in attitudes, habits, or relationships. Pray for the Holy Spirit to renew your mind, aligning your thoughts with God's truth. Choose one practical way to "present your body" to God today, whether through service, worship, or obedience in a specific area.
Day 5: Preparing for Christ's Return
Reading: 1 Thessalonians 5:1-11
Devotional: As we anticipate Christ's return, Paul encourages us to live alert and self-controlled lives. Reflect on how the reality of Jesus' second coming impacts your daily choices. Are there areas where you need to "wake up" spiritually? Consider how you can encourage fellow believers in their faith journey. Pray for wisdom to discern the times and to live with eternal perspective. Ask God to fill you afresh with His Holy Spirit, empowering you to shine His light brightly in a dark world.
